Since the loss of our Nurture Unit, we have been working hard to make sure we provide all the support our children need.

The Enrichment provision is shared between Mrs Broadbent and Mr Barton and aims to provide a range of interventions to support the children's differing needs. These interventions range from Drawing and Talking Therapy, Outdoor Learning, Meditation, Team Working right through to simple things such as an 'open door policy' where children can come and share their worries in a safe environment at any time.

Sessions are delivered in school, in the grounds and in the Enrichment Room with something happening most days. The children come for a variety of support and may stay for a short time, or continue to be supported for a longer period. The children's needs across the school are regularly reviewed and children rotated as required.

The principal focus for support centres on developing self-confidence and self-esteem. Once these areas can be improved then the children can begin to tackle resilience, or as they understand it - not giving up when things get tricky. As a school we believe very strongly that our children can achieve amazing things once they believe in themselves as much as we believe in them.

If you have any questions about our enrichment provision, please feel free to ask Mrs Broadbent or Mr Barton.
